Sleevit ShrinkMaster S2000 & S4000 Steam Tunnels
Rapid Growth in the use of shrink sleeves, particularly in the form of Sleeve Labels, has highlighted the need for high energy shrinking systems to match the performance of sleeve application machines such as the Sleevit SleeveMaster SL400.
The issues of pre-heating glass containers yet shrinking sleeves on to more delicate plastic containers can all be met with a steam tunnel providing it has close control of temperature and distribution.
Heating with steam reduces artwork distortion considerably, as the heat source is in intimate contact with the sleeve and shrinks all parts of the surface equally. It also caters for a wider variety of container shapes including heavily "waisted" drinks containers, PET sleeves on PET bottles and the trend towards thinner sleeve materials. At the same time steam reduces the need to pre-heat glass and metal containers before sleeving.
The ShrinkMaster steam range has 8 heating zones per module all of which may be set individually. Steam management systems provide all the elements of steam conservation and safety and the tunnel carcass is heavily insulated.
These tunnels are built in standard modules of 2M steps so that a complete tunnel can be configured to suit exactly the demands of the product and sleeve. Modules may be ganged together as production speeds increase, up to 150 ppm for the S2000, and up to 300 ppm for the S4000
ShrinkMaster S2000 and S4000 steam tunnels may be fed from factory steam lines or we can supply Gas or Electric powered steam generators to suit each tunnel.
